Dead solo2 - help please!

Hi,
My recently acquired VU+ solo2 has just died on me after only about a month. I only get the concentric rings on the left of the machine and doesn't respond to anything!
Can I reflash without using the usb because this doesn't seem to work either?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Not at the moment they only way as of now is chip replacment.

The supplier said that an email was sent out warning me : "Urgent Notice.. VU series all models can not be upgraded April 19 (2.0.9.1)... there are empty FLASH program ..... (This message is for the VU series of products)"
For my part I had never seen this message (unless it was withheld with the spam)

Just covering himself mate cost wise saying you were warned.

Most dealers will repair free of charge but you have to send it back.

I have sent to China in 4 weeks and I got it repaired at home.
Must replaced motherboard.
Now I carry blackhole 2.0.9.0

@Ferret : Now that it appears as though "I had been warned", I think it'll be worth checking the expense before I embark on attempting to have it fixed. I'll make enquiries with the local post office and decide after that.
@cullons : Good to know it's been done before but I still need to check on the added expense first.

It must do with timebomb anticlone measure that new drivers have.. so really you should NOT upgrade drivers after 15/12/13

If you take the mobo out ive seen people been able to send the mobo only for £12.50 via royal mail

Isolating the motherboard shouldn't be that difficult; though not terribly technical in this domain, I've changed computer motherboards in the past.
The sum of money involved says it's worth doing.

@frank087234 - I promise I won't try this again. What saddens me is that apparently I had been warned but the message never filtered through to me, somehow.

I also need a motherboard...someone told me that the problem is only the nand memory.. but I thik it's consist in micro soldering...too difficult....:mecry:

Hello again,
After all the trouble we had, with the Vu+ solo2 going bust because I programmed the VU+ with BH 2.0.9.1 upgrade, we were sent the defective chip and my brother replaced it for me. So we're back in business so to speak!
We've programmed it with the BH 2.0.9.0 image as originally recommended. Am I stuck with this image even when there are other upgrades available?
(The suppliers rather cheekily offered to sell me a newer version of the tuner which will then take the recent upgrades. I can't afford to replace the tuner after only a couple of weeks of service - if that!!)

I got solo2 clone, and it is working with bh2.1.0,
It has new service port from sunray.
