DDNS on Ariva 250E

DDNS on Ariva 250 HD (assume the same for 150 HD)

Hi All:

I've tried the DDNS service on the Ariva 250.

I am using no-ip which is the only free service of the ones you can pick.

Two things:
1. It never updates the IP on the no-ip service.

2. It does not allow to enter a different IP that the local one (192.168.1.6), which obviously is not useful. It would be great to program the box to grab the current public IP via any free service like whatsmyip.org or http://whatismyipaddress.com, etc... which really be useful.


Anybody had success setting up DDNS on the Ariva 250 and no-ip?

Can you please share how you do it?

I have Ariva150. With no-ip service DDNS work fine.
I have your same patch.

What's your set up?
Does it show a dimmed private address type 192.168.x.x or... ???

With 250 doesn't work at all
