I'm interested to know what peoples CSA RBT V2 success rate are. I have been added chains for weeks now from Colibri's community website (well the ones which are still live) and i've created some of my own too, which I will export soon.

I have run the 1000 random test on my FF table and found 883 of 1000, so 88.3% success rate.

I will do my other 2 tables and post the results here soon. :thum:

What are your success rates?

Well, Colibri made a great job, but I think that CSA V1 is the best tool to find keys. V2 needs very big resources and much much time to build tables (without full garantee), V1 requires just chain files that you can exchange more easily. This is just my opinion.

I think the fact, that v2 is much faster than v1 is a very important difference. It is often already taking much time to search for a c8 and if you have a 030h c8, it takes about 15 minutes, which is very long. But you're right, that it is much faster to build a good RBT with v1. With 80 GB, you already have like 85% success rate. Maybe it just depends on individual preferences. I have 2 RBT v2 and one v1. All have about 85%.

I have to agree with spinandspeed V2 is very fast finding a key, less than 30 seconds in most cases.

As Francescone said it is very resourceful, I'm using 2x3TB HDDs for my tables - one for 00h and FFh tables, and the other for 030000h table and scratch folder.

The thing is you still V1 to get crypt8 from 030000h :p

@samoyed1976 It's hard to say mate...I have downloaded and merged every RBC3 I could get for each table (a lot are dead links now ) and have created some of my own.
I don't know for sure how many gb's for each table.
All I can say is it's lots over many weeks!

I have downloaded around 380gb of ffh files and have a success rate of just over 60%.

Are you HD's internal? Only large one I have is an external
2gb. It seems to take forever to merge chains but I think that may be because HD is connected via USB2 rather than sata cable straight to the mobo like an internal would be.

I feel your pain.....

I started like you with an external USB drive and found it was incredibly slow :mecry:

I now have 2x SATA3 3TB HDD's just for my tables which is certainly faster!

If you have access to usenet I would realy reccomend you download the pre-created tables from Colibri's site here => http://dvbn.happysat.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=54230#p351678

As you will see all 3 tables at a good success rate already.

Good luck :thum:

Thanks i think i will switch to V2 then. Getting high capacity HDD for V2 is cheaper than buying SSD for V1. At this time it takes up to 40 minutes to get a key in ~200gb ffh v1 rtb i have.

But if you buy a 500GB ot 1TB SSD you could find keys in less than 3 minutes without rebuilding all your tables, just use same table you just have now.

If you plan on only using B8hx00h, B8hxFFh & B8hx03000h tables you will need 3.75TB for V2 tables (fixed size of 1.25TB each) and 1.2TB for V1 tables (depending on how chain are in your tables).

V2 tables search quickly on normal HDD at around 15-30 seconds.

V1 tables searches vary but take a lot, lot longer if not on SSD.

If it's speed your after V2 wins every time even on standard HDD. On the rare occasions I have to search my smaller V1 B8hxFFh table on my SSD it takes about 5 minutes.

It is personal choice which table you use, it depends how fast you need to find a CW.

If a CW can not be found in your table just post on SU and someone with more chains may be able to find it for you.
