Hi everyone,

I hope that someone can help me to solve my problem, after having to reorganise our house we now have 2 x DM7020HD's in the same room driving 2 different dishes, the problem is that both the boxes react to either of the RC10 remote control units. I need a way so that the 1st DM7020HD only works with 1st remote and the second DM7020HD only works with the second remote. DM say that this can be done using the DIL pins in the remotes but I can not find a guide on how to implement this, does anyone have a guide to this ?

Thanks in advance for any help

I was able to do this with my old DM7020 and DM600 just by pressing buttons.

Intrigued by the new arrangement for the RC10, I found this on another site which is shamelessly reproduced here:

"I've sorted this out, and am posting for the benefit of anybody else who might benefit.
The Multirc plugin script puts values of 10000, 20000, 40000 and 80000 in /proc/stb/ir/rc/mask2. For me, this doesn't work.

What you need to do is to put either 1,2,4 or 8 in /proc/stb/ir/rc/mask2 and 0 in both mask0 and mask1.
1 corresponds to both DIP switches off, 2 to 1 on, 4 to 2 on and 8 to both on. That works for me.
I have a startup script to activate the settings (as I have always had for the other remote types)."

Hi percivjr,

Thanks very much for the reply, I am OK with the switch settings giving 1,2,4 and 8, and understanding that is no problem for me.

I have never written a startup script, and would not know where to start so would I be alright to change the standard values stored in mask0, mask1 and mask2, by replacing the "1" in mask2 with "8" and move both dil switches to " on " on one of the pairs of DM7020HD and its RC10 leaving the other DM7020HD and its remote as standard.
