connecting DM800 through laptop to internet

Hi there, is it possible to connect the DM with Ethernet cable to a laptop with the laptop connected to internet - would this work? ie DM accessing information it needs through the laptop.

If it is possible to use as above can someone point me in the right direction?

yes its very much possible. connect dm with modem or laptop thru eathernet.

laptop can be on wifi for internet

u can access dm with DCC or dream up for flashing

Hi there - thanks for reply.

Access to net is not for flashing - it would be to retrieve k**s.

I want to be able to have DM connected to laptop which will be connected to internet. DM accessing/requesting k*y info through the laptop to the internet.

May sound strange way to do things but I have reasons for attempting this if possible.

yes it can ,, use ics ,, for example the source of you internet is wifi ,, your loptop recieve from wifi and can share it using your lan ,, it a simple ics ,, just go to your wifi properties and and go to advance and check ics or maybe your network wizard ,, ,,

another way is highlight the wireless and lan and rightclick and select bridge conection and viola you have a simple ics ,, ,
