Hello guys.I flashed the latest Merlin 27-04 but when i tried to install Merlin cam feed(the one that ararat has given),nothing appeared...I rebooted,i changed the attributes but no luck....

Yes, Merlin cam-feed a bit tricky - but easy, if you have done it once.
Only problem in most cases is "Where is what?"

With Merlin 3 OE2 already installed:
- FTP transfer (copy) the :heart1: Merlin cam-feed.ipk :heart1: (e.g. with DCC e2, FileZilla or else) to /media/hdd onto your dreambox´s harddisk (*1)
- With your remote control select "Menu/Settings/Software/Local Install/Harddisk/cam-feed.ipk" for installation (*1)
Restart your box
- Press BLUE button for Blue Panel and select Merlin´s Addon Manager
(inside you´ll find all downloads)
- in Addon Manager select/expand category "Cams" with OK button
install wanted CAM(s) with GREEN button
Restart your box
Go to Menu/Extensions/DreamCC (= cam center) and select/activate your cam
Done!:thum:

(*1) You may as well copy camfeed.ipk to root in Flash memory and choose "Menu/Settings/Software/Local Install/Flash/cam-feed.ipk" for installation.
--- In case cam-feed installation didn´t succeed, and you can´t find "CAMS" category in addon manager, give the camfeed.ipk file (on your harddisk/or in Flash) rights 755 (In DCCe2 FTP-function: right mouseclick on file - Attribute - 755) and retry installation.

for those who are using skin MetrixHD Ricardo22 Mod. (latest version is 1.39, maybe mistake is not in old version 1.0).
If you press "RADIO" button on your remote control, you may get greenscreen.
(I do/did on both my boxes)
Avoid (as a workaround until there will be a fix for this problem):
In Menu/Settings/System/Adjust - set "Radio Mode" to "Alternative mode"

Hello ararat.I read carrefully all your posts and finally i decided to see Merlin.Yes the image is good.It is stable.Previous TSimage i had was fancy but many problems....
@marioshamb - good to hear, you like Merlin3 - if satisfied with your installation, make a backup with dFlash (Menu/Settings/Backup&Flash (or similar - don´t know english expression)) GREEN button.Backup usually gets stored to /media/hdd/backup folder on harddrive if you don´t select a different folder. You can ftp your backup to pc from there. If necessary, you can restore your backup either with dFlash (no pc needed) or with webbroser/webIf.
So you can e.g. try a new plugin and if not satisfied, you just only restore your backup and your box runs again as it did before.
I tried some firmwares up to now. Merlin has become my favourite. It´s easy and it comes with lots of useful functions/plugins by default.
You can install Merlin3 without HBBTV/webbrowser, if you don´t need, but you can install both as plugins, if you like. You can install Merlin3 without unnecessary languages - to keep firmware slim.
Merlin EPG center allows you to organize your recordings in subfolders and play them from there (ideal for series).
If you have two dreamboxes you can share between both using partnerbox plugin.
Merlin3 is very stable and for security reasons, dFlash plugin is inside by default.
Nice additional Merlin plugins available, too (AMS, VideoDB, etc.).
Comfortable functions (e.g. copy tv-stations to different bouquets/ mark videos as seen,unseen and more). Many little details that make life easier.
But of course there are other good firmwares, too. What you prefer depends on what you want to do with your box.
A combination of CVS firmware + GP3 (e.g. NTFS support, lots of own tools inside) plugin is nice. Or OoZooN firmware with userscript for cams and some drivers/packages that are not in all firmwares.
I´d always first recommend one of these three, (Merlin/CVS+GP3/OoZooN) because the developers of these teams are in very close contact - knowing/helping each other and CVS is original firmware from DMM - manufacturer of dreambox - so much first hand insider knowledge at early stages of oe.2 development/improvements.
@Bambike Newnigma for sure not bad, too. I just only don´t use it because it´s not allowed to mention it on those boards (DMM/IHAD/Merlin/OoZooN) where all the most important developers answer/discuss questions.

Sorry to say - no real experience of my own with usb dtt - never had 800se/500hd box and with 8000 not really necessary. DMM never officially supported usb dtt and I don´t think that on Merlin they developed any further. (At least I didn´t read anything positive about it.)
Some drivers from community projects do exist, but seem to be working not too stable.
In some cases people can get their stick to work (e.g. on Merlin/Newnigma)- but not always stable or sometimes with side-effects like sattuner disabled when usb dtt was working ...
I remember, question was discussed on DMM board (if I´m not mistaken) without result.

- added assertions to detect usage of eTimers and eSocketNotifiers from incorrect thread
- fixed hls/http streaming dead locks on channel change
- fixed filtering of non printable characters (caused a deadlock on UTF-16 -> UTF8 DVB text conversion)
e.g. fixes service searching on 16.0E
- added possibility to globally change the config and string list font(s) and item heights
examples at skin-default.xml
- fixed broken check for http services (enable previously broken user-agent setting)
- storage / harddisc manager:
- fixed crash (python set has no method append)
- fixed wrongly used "Mounted by system!" and "No mountpoint defined!" texts
- listbox / stringcontent / configcontent:
- fixed wrongly filled space (5 Pixels) between listbox content and scrollbar when the listbox background is transparent

Luckily no greenscreens on my boxes. My Merlin3 is still from 2013-04-27 and I haven´t tried online update, yet.:funnyanimation18: I´ll better wait for next firmware.

If you can get original 8000 cheap: it´s still a very good box and with oe2 it has become fast (was very surprised after last update, when zapping tv channels
).But fake "original" dreamboxes (800se/8000) are on the market - with false A8P "original" SIM cards inside. Cloneboxes with these cards work like original boxes and pass the "genuine box" test then, but you get no support if the box is busted (then it was an expensive box).
So I would only buy from well known/safe dealer - but I still would buy (8000HD or 7020HD) because both boxes are very good despite 400 MHz (+ 256 MB RAM / 1GB RAM flash memory).
