cant flash dm800 sim201 ,bootlouder 76

hi, tried flash dm to newer image,but have problem,with web browser, when put "UPDATE",no action.Tried mozilla,chrome ,,IE.
with dream up- after i put "conect",power on dm800, in dreamset no action.
after i installed hdglass skin, dm800 wont boot. im stupid,deleted setup.xml file,now dm wont boot
last step- put to dm new image,but how?
please help

Hello,

If you need to re-flash your DM you have two options through web interface in ***STOP*** mode or through RS232 cable with DreamUP.

For re-flash your DM with ***STOP*** mode you will need to have your DM connected through LAN cable to a router with DHCP enabled (dhcp is the service in the LAN which allocate IP's automatically) and an conputer conected on the same LAN.
To put your DM into ***STOP*** mode you need to unplug the power cord and press power button before plug the power cord back, you need to keep pressed the power button after you plug in the power cord until the ***STOP*** message appear on your DM's OLED display.
After your DM will enter into ***STOP*** mode, on the OLED display will appear and message regarding DHCP and shortly after will appear an IP address.
You need to access this IP address with you browser from an computer in the same LAN with your DM, after accessing the IP with an browser you will need few options on web page loaded from that IP, please click "Firmware upgrade" link.

For re-flash with DreamUP you will need to have an NULL modem cable and an computer with RS232 port (ie. serial port), an usb to RS232 adapter usually works on newly computer which does not have RS232 anymore.
The procedure is simple, unplug power cord from your DM, connect your computer with RS232 cable to your DM, start DreamUP application and click "connect" button, after plug the power cable to your DM.
The DreamUP app will start to upload the flash-loader into your DM, after the process is done, you need to click on "flash" button to load and flash a new image on your DM.

Please use last known good image that worked on your DM.
Also, please keep in mind that you need an patched image to work with DM Clone.
If you use the DreamUP variant you will need an pached DreamUP version in order to work.

If you can still ftp into the box then just delete the skin folder and reboot it should boot

FTP in and navigate to

usr/share/enigma2

Then delete the hdglass skin folder and reboot.

thanks for reply, im know all methods,how flash dm tried with browsers,and dream up some versions.
dm800 getting ip adress, i can go to flashing page in browser,but after i choose image,and put UPDATE, no action in web page.
with dreamup, when power on dm800, no action.
Tried get log with hyperterminal,no info in this program,about dreambox.
When dm800 worked (yesterday),i cant upgrade image too,so stayed in bootlouder 76D.

Now i cant conect via FTP, i think only with telnet.

oh... now thinking how reset dm800 to default,without OSD
anyway thanks !

If your getting a IP the all I can think is there is a firewall issue blocking the browser update.

Try another PC.

Hi,

Those are good news.

Just to let others know, I had similar issues in the past when commands does not work over web interface (no action when click on buttons).

I have discovered that the older boot-loaders have a bug which affect almost all browsers and the symptom is that is not taking any action.
Not tested on windows, but on my mac the only browser which worked was Opera.

So, if you have those kind of issues try to use Opera on mac. On windows i think is no issue with IE.

i wrote, tried all browsers (win7), but no action when click on buttons. like problem with JAVA ,i dont know.
Only last software OPTIFLASHER helped me. Put IP adress of dm800,press conect. After go to right windows,to ENIGMA2. First put bootlouder 82,after 84. after reboot.
Go to section Enigma2/ write image,and put newest image for sim201.
thats all

Well, Did you tried also the Opera browser? You are on windows?
On my mac was the only one worked when it came to the (no action on click upload) issue.
