Can 800SEv1 image be used on the v2?

Hi,
I've often been tempted to try and use an 800SEv1 image on the v2 but have held back because there are some images that I cannot seem to be able use on the version they're intended. (With a number of them I get the standard "no CA found" .... and then I simply give up no matter how interesting the image appears to be).
Am I right in being this cautious?

You could not use v1 image on v2 and visa versa,they are different architecture and even browser will not allow to you

I assumed that the v2 couldn't be used on the v1 but I was thinking that this is merely a size issue. Clearly it's more than that.
