Stab motors are the original and the best, the Rolls Royce of dish turners
Dark motors are quiet and fast and will do the job but after a while they will develop backlash in the gears. 2 that I have had have done this and it means certain satellites wont lock fully.

the extra money is for the better rustproofing, usals licence and 3 year warranty. the brackets on the technomates are shocking and rust very quickly but the darkmotor is slightly better. ive seen a stab motor still going strong after 10 years and looking almost like new. depends on what its carrying and if you are willing to fork out the cash. regards mdt
