Just come a cropper recording and finding the language was not the english audio i was expecting. If watching live i would of course manually change it to the english audio. Now in E1 there used to be a script available that would automaticaly select english audio so my question being is there the same sort of script available for E2?

No way to auto select it while recording like e1
If you play the recording now then press the audio button you will be able to select from all the audio options that were available at the time of the recording.
