Austrian public television ORF starts replacing old access cards for new ICE (Irdeto Cryptoworks Encryption) cards. The purpose of the replacement card - software protection against unauthorized reception, as the system access CryptoWorks ORF was broken.
ORF replacement cards will be implemented in several stages - starting with the old map series from 2003 and 2004. Viewers will be informed in writing, through the website ORF. For the exchange of cards will be charged a fee of 14,90 eur.
Replacement of old cards to be completed by 2014. The exchange process does not affect the audience, the received signal in the cable and IPTV networks and DVB-T multiplexes. Cards provide access to channels ORF1 and ORF2, including regional and HD versions, ORF3, ORF Sport Plus, ATV, Puls 4 and Austria 9.
On the cards is also available and ORF platform AustriaSat Luxembourg-based M7 Group, HD channels are only available on the new maps Irdeto.

If AustriaSat change occurs at same time as ORF Is not clear as both have different Cryptoworks provider Idents/cards, but this is very likely, so we hopefully have another year and a half if we keep up with key changes. :wink1:

Not all MTV channels are opened by Cryptoworks keys, some (MTV France, MTV Pulse etc) are opened by Canal Sat's Viaccess keys, these are likely to end prior to any AustriaSat/ORF change, but ones that are in AustriaSat/ORF will obviously end at the same time as AustriaSat/ORF.

Unless something new that opens them (MTVs) is opened in the coming year & months....or AustriaSat/ORF keys change and we are unable to find them.

Best advice is just to enjoy what we have now.....any discussion about exactly when things will end/change is pointless conjecture...as there are many factors not just new cards....

ESPN America (S) on 19.2° Astra 1L 12662.75 H 22000 became a part of AustriaSat package.

On same transponder is ESPN America which is a part of Canalsat package.
Both of them works fine.

ESPN does not belong to AustriaSat and also does not go with the Keys of AustriaSat ;)

Last night they both worked, at ESPN america (s) has been added Cryptoworks coding system, but now it's been removed. maybe some test or something like that.

Well VH1 Classic isn't opened with Austria Sat's Cryptoworks keys......its opened with Canal Sat's Viaccess keys, and not opening for me either anymore (neither is VH1 Europe Viaccess Canal Sat, but VH1 Europe Cryptoworks Austria Sat is fine)

No problems with VH1 Europe (AustriaSat - CaID 0D05).

VH1 Classic - this channel belongs to CSAT (CaID 0500 Provider 022610). And yes, this channel is down (also VH1 Europe CSAT CaID 0500 Provider 022610).
