New to the site and fairly new to satellite TV,
I bought a kit from B&Q a couple of years ago, it included a ROSS HD FTA Box, 65cm Dish and what i think is a 0.3 LNB, i mounted it on a pole to the rear of my property, just above the gutter, which it duly decided to fall off, breaking the LNB holder when it did, i managed to repair the holder with pieces of perspex and supergluee, making sure it was as true and straight as new, and have been using it to switch between Hotbird 13.0 and Astra 19.2 since, by turining the pole (with dish) in the bracket and tilting it slightly to get the best signal,
However, recently i can still get all the channels from Hotbird 13 but when i switch to Astra 19.2 i can get some of the channels ALL of the time, but the majority of channels only appear some of the time (including Sport 1 and DMAX Neu which id really like) so for the past couple of days ive been tinkeing with the set up to try to receive all of the channels, i managed to get over 300 channels with a minimum signal quality of 48% some even had a signal of 69%, wihing a few hours of setting it up the majority of the channels had gone to 0% signal even thought the dish hadnt move at all.
Ive tried taking it down and setting up with what i feel is a clear view of the sky but i cant seem to get a better signal on the ground than on the pole.
This is the "view" the dish has, im hoping the signal clears the roof tops, as it used to, so does anyone have any ideas as to why it cant pick up all the channels/transponders most of the time?
BTW ive included the LNB pic that i think is a 0.3,
Im also running telesky 220 firmware on the box for better HD support
