6300CU Super Reset

Hi there,

I have a problem with my receiver not responding to all functions of my remote.

For example if I try and delete channels through - menu - chanel - delete (red button on remote) nothing happens. Same if I try and select extended channel list with - ok - red button will not give the 3 columns. Only way I can change satellite is to go to menu - installation - select a satellite with left right keys and then exit - it then lets me see that satellite. Can not sort channels etc etc...

I know remote is ok - tried on other 6300 receivers and tried other remotes also on miy receiver.

Is it possible to do a complete reset - not a factory reset which only resets channel list - I have tried this a few times and still same - I have also reduce amount channels to less than 1000 but still will not work properly.

So if anyone can point me to the required boot/firmaware/whatever I need it is appreciated.

Hi there, sorry not got back sooner.

Tried as you suggested but still no luck. It is getting worse each time switched on now. Lots times now stopping at the ON display or the RUN display and freezing when I do get it to run.

Time to put it in the rubbish heap.

What to get next is now the question - I do have two dish's so probably look at getting a twin tuner receiver like the IBox USB.
