5402 M3 Saving Info

Eh guys, hope all is well. I plan on upgrading fw to 1.42 but I'd like to save all my channel and sat info. I have never had to do this before and was wondering if one you fine peeps could tell me how.

you dont need to because your channel list will still be there after loading patch 142p
i have tried it but found too many bugs so went back to 139p again .
You dont need to factory reset thats the only way your current channel list will get deleted ,

but you can backup your list if u desire its very simple just insert usb pen

Goto Menu Button on Remote > USB/External Device > FTP
then Info Button > Upload channel data and ok button
job is completed : ))

After Blind Scan Channels are not saved
Dish moves off to different sat after exit blind scan
many channels are infact then missing even tho' blindscan finds channels they do not get saved .
This fault is not present in previous 139p patch .
i will stick with 139p patch untill this issues are resolved

It seems only one other person had your issues and that seem to have sorted itself lol
Most are saying they prefer 138 to 139 lol so it seems what suits some doesn't suit others for some reason?
No logic to that but it seems to be true.

It's true.139 is much,much better than 142.

Well, i noticed 1.42 supports sbox $A0. Do any of the lower firmwares support that?
