Does someone know where is the problem that several disk doesn't work with 910 ? Only five HDD 2.5" models are listed by DGS as supported :-(. I would like to buy some 320 GB 2.5" hdd but have no idea if one will be working.

Problem is with Western Digital HDD. I tried WD 120GB and WD 250GB - no one worked. Currently I've Samsung 320GB and it works fine.

PS
Of course all of them 2.5 inch

I am using 3,5 inch Samsung 320GB with ICYBOX external rack.
I think that any Hard drive will work as it support SATA1 mode. Some of the HDD have jumpers to set the mode, some have system utility to change this settings (trough BIOS of the disk).

The problem is that ST 7101 has a desin that makes it possible to use a only a few hard disks. Most SATA2 disks can run in SATA1mode, but the ST7101 design does it impossible to run a number of disks although they are made to the SATA1 standard. I use a Samsung too (250 GB) and it works for me too. //Ellghe

It's interesting that in the "Beginner_guide" mentioned above there are some new WD models which appear as tested and compatible:WDXX00AAJS,WDXX00AACS with all IPbox models, instead the BEVs models(at least 250, 500GB versions)as "not detectable"...

By the way can anybody know how much size consumes 1 minute of 1080i recording?
thx
