Ziggo adds Disney Channel and On-demand

Ziggo will start to carry the Disney Channel from September 1. The cabler will also add a branded Disney-on-Demand service.
Ziggo’s bouquet of Disney channels now consists of Disney Channel, Disney XD 24 and Disney Junior. At the same time, Ziggo will also launch Disney-on-Demand.
The Disney Channel launch on Ziggo is for digital only. Until now, UPC was the sole cable operator in The Netherlands to carry the channel on both analogue and digital. With the addition of Ziggo, the channel adds a further two million homes to its Dutch footprint.
In Belgium, Disney Channel is available on all platforms, including Telenet and Belgacom TV.
