It may not help but I installed those packages on NE2 v4.0.8 using Telnet...
If you have DCC, select Telnet and cd to tmp directory, upload the .ipk to this directory and use following command "opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk" to install the package.
