I tried flashing with a external hdd 30gb, when i plugged it back into computer it stopped detecting it
then i plugged N95 with 4gb SD card and it worked fine as a PVR, when i put back into computer it only detected 974mb even though nothing was on the card as i formatted it !!!!

whats the problem !!!

after flashing ,remove external hdd or usb sticker;
otherwise ,on the first boot box will format to ext2 for use as an HDD pvr.

use "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" to format your hdd on winxp.

on winxp; format usb sticker to fat32
copy image file rename it to "usb_update.img"

turn off the stb(Standby + OK)
insert usb stick.
press and hold Standby button until front display shows “BOOTING” and press UP key
(on the front side of the box, not on RC),
Wait until DONE message displays. Restart your receiver.

This is what i tried.
Turning off the receiver - inserted it. Turned it on, and kept up pressed - and it just stayed on Booting forever.......

Maybe is this of any use.

I had some problem with a few usb-sticks, and formatted them
with an Apple computer using formatting the stick
(Sancruzer 2GB)with Msdos option.

The stick is always recognized.
