whats the best software to flash 7020

Hi i have only used flash wiz pro before on my 7000 but now have a 7020 and need to flash it tryed flash wiz pro but does not seem to work
not sure what software to used as there are so many to chose from thanks for any advise

switch you receiver off,press and hold the down front arrow button,switch on the dreambox,A text STOP should appear on the led screen, Above the STOP text, there should appear an IP-address, type that up address into your url then choose firmware upgrade, search for the image on your pc, select the image and click on flash.

yes mate you can install multiboot with FWPro, insert the usb stick open FWPro and follow these instructions.

1 tick the box usb stick
2 login = root default
3 password = dreambox default
4 click on format usb stick
5 afetr you have foramtted the stick click on mount usb stick
5a now click on install or remove a firmware in MULTIBOOT. it will say multiboot is not installed do you wish to install, click on yes
6 drag the image from where it is located on your pc to that that box, it will ask where you wish to install it, click on the usb stick.
7 make sure this box is ticked and you wont have to scan any sats in, it will remember them from the flash image

P.S. i forgot to mention the ip address, make sure the ip address is correct above the login box :thum:

after you have installed the image reboot the receiver then you can choose which image to boot into from the remote

Hi thought thats whats i should beable to do but i have tryed 3 images in muiltboot now on the usb and 2 diffance usb and the all seem to go so far and crash sayiny error could not complete they say 100% on installing but last bit seems to crash everytime the setup and inti you can see them on the start up menu when you boot the dreambox but if i try them all i get is a black screen/???????????? any more you could say to help out thanks m8

You need to use Barry Allen program for multiboot. If you need the program and complete instructions let me know and I will post it. I use this on my 7020 and have 6 different images I can boot to from USB.

what image do you have in the flash it might be that have an early image in the flash and you are trying to put a later image in multiboot.

make sure you have one of the latest images in the flash, i have nablio darkstar 2 in my flash, and about four images on my usb stick.

yes m8 i to have nablio darkstar 2 in the flash i also tryed pli in the flash beging to think maybe some thing up with the usb port still got to try that barry allen software was going to try this evening but to shatted c how i feel tomorrow
