Dvb-s2 is the enhanced standard modulation from dvb-s.
you need To view hd and sd programms from this transponder
an HDTV(Mpeg4) sat-receiver.
The encryption is another thing.

so i basically need a HD receiver?nothing else?dont need a card?does every receiver have dvb-s2?is there another way of watching dvbs-2?cheers

Yes,you need a hdtv-receiver to watch.
On the market there is also no sd-dvb-s2-receiver for sale
and every new Hdtv-modell is compatible with dvb-s2.

At the moment bulsat is working without a card,but you need
a receiver that can handle softcam or it came with a build-in
emulator firmware.
Sometimes they change the keys,so you must update, to clear
channels again.

well bulsat is working for me np,the problem is bulsat has best channels that contain DVB-S2. so is TM 6800HD dvb-s2?is there no firmware online to download n make it dvb-s2?

You cant really make non HD/S2 STB's HD/S2 capable because it requires HD specific decoders within its operating system when viewing the stream, so installing them would require a major re-write hence the newer boxes that are now HD/S2...

For the model you quoted yes it is a S2., There are still downloads available from many sites including some from Technomate. Look for 6000 series.
