Can't believe that no one answered this.

If it is shared and the sharing supports cifs or samba then mount manager should pick it up via the wizard and add it. Once added you will be able to see it and play from it within Media Player.

Strictly speaking the VU+ UNO is yet another Dreambox clone. As such it also has to use patched Enigma2 images. That is why there are only a limited amount for it. Media Play is not fully working in any patched images yet. For example, FFWD, RWD does not work and not all formats run well on it. Time shift also has similar issues. These issues are found on other clones also (eg. Azbox) but NOT DM's or DM clones like 800 SE where all works like original DM.

As a clone of a clone, the VU looks nicer but I doubt it will ever be as good as the real thing or a real clone. :)

Its easy use the network share browser its built into most images and will find your NAS drive automaticly......

And vu+ are not dreambox clones....
It has been said even in court that ENIGMA2 is a open source project.
so any box can use it
Dream Multimedia have no copy-write over enigma 2

If a box looks like a dreambox an exact copy then its a clone!

Just because a box uses enigma2 doesn't make it a clone.....

I'm trying to play my video files from my VU+ Uno, I have the network already set up as I stream movies from my Main PC in my livingroom into the bedroom via a cyclone media player but I'd rather be able to do it through the VU+ Box.
When I open up the Network Browser on the VU+ it shows my PC in the network and then when I click it asks if I want to add username and password and thats as far as it gets. Would it be because I use Windows 7 X64?
