VU+ Plus Duo Wont show HD channels

hi. I am having strange problems with my VU+ DUO since morning. Initially, EUTELSAT 16.0 would not come on and now when its set, the ASTRA 28.2 HD channels won't work. All the normal SD channels are working fine but the HD channels. Not sure what the problem could be. Any help would be really appreciated.

How do you mean they wont come on ?

Are you referring to a encryption decoding issue or no signal issue ?

I know its strange but it is happening. I have tested atleast 3-4 servers (CLines) but the same result no HD channels. The signal is also not stable on the HD channels, varies between 0-85% very strange. I think changing an image might do the job. Presently I have installed BH 2.0.1 on the VU+ Duo.

Ok mate

Does BBC HD and BBC One HD work on 28e if they do you box has not problem.

You could maybe make sure your channel list is uptodate before flashing a new image, still think its a problem with who your connected to.

As Ferret said check the free sat channels on 28e

also what emu are youm using?
Some emu's can have problems with hd..
also try a latter image Vix are good..
and has the auto channel lists this makes sure your always up to date!

Thanks. Changed the image to BH 1.7.9 and EMU to 2.1.1. now its working fine. By the way how do I change the channel update to Auto?

HI, Got the same problem again. No HD channels on Astra 28.2. Have installed and re-installed BH 1.7.9 and 2.0.1 but no success so far. Also have tried 2.3.0, 2.2.1, 2.1.1 but again no luck. This certainly seems to be a software problem but cannot figure it out. Will try and install the VIX image and see if that helps. By the way the FTA (BBC ONE HD) also won't come up. The signal on HD channels is also wierd varies between 0-85% (SNR) have tried to reposition the dish (Satfinder etc.) but no luck. ANy help would be really appreciated.

Hi go to tuner A setup then go to find satellite select sly then put in bbc one HD transponder info.You should get 80% signal and you should see it locked on to satellite if all is well.You may have to disconnect tuner b cable to prevent a conflict.When its locked on check out picture and signal

Its working now. I have seen when the other HD channels are working then BBC One HD also works. I think this box has really gone wierd. I have decided not to play with it any more. Just wanted to know how to keep the channels on Auto-Update that would make my life much easier.
By the way, I just manually scanned the whole channels on Astra 28.2 which solved the problem, for some reason... strange isn't it?

Background scanning is default in most images, some of the laters OE2.0 image and PLI image have the option to turn it off but default is on.

This keeps your channels upto date but not user bouquets.

Thinking about this mate if it is only 28.2 east you want to keep upto date there is a pluging named autobouquet updater.

You can usually find this in the plugins menu-download settings-extensions
