vu+duo crashes

HI ALL

i am using pli dated 31/8/10 works fine in orignal state.
but when i install a new bootlogo or skin it goes into green screen of death. only way to get it back is by reflashing.
is this an issue of software incompatible
logo i used were R8 AUDIO JPEG
SKIN WAS MAGIC EHD

You can`t use a jpeg as bootlogo, it must be a mvi file.

Depends on what image the Majic skin was made to work on. Some skins that work on VTI wont work on Dream Elite etc.

Indeed, Not every skins works fine with this or that img, But its "must" made for it!

that is an issue even on breamboxes. Skins can be very tricky and at the moment the only times i have seen green screens and image crashes, are when i try to load some skins

but if i am using pli image and down load the skins from plugins download in pli iamage. does this not mean that the skin will go with the image.

Normally this would not be a problem, so there`s something else wrong.
If you`ve a hdd, take a look into the enigma2 crashlog to see what goes wrong.

I bought this box because people said it "Won't/ can't" crash. But my box crash all the time....sometimes I know why. I open plugins that have some kind of problem, other times when I download epg data through rytec, which should work....? It could have something to do with my usb-stick, it might be to slow in reading/receiving data. It's just a guess though. My HDD is mounted correctly and I don't have to many plugins in the flash memory. I still can't figure out why it crashes so often...any ideas?

I you ran the original image with only original plugins etc then you would probably have no crashes, but when you start mixing plugins from third party developers then sometimes they disagree with each other and thats when you can end up with loads of crashes.

Hi

Just give information what image You are using?.And what plugins?
And what else do you have inside it?
And do not mix with OE1.5/1.6 plugins etc.

Maybe then somebody can help You.

ps. I can crash my box when ever I want.But then it´s my own fault...trying to simulate mistakes..

After that treatment it´s still running like it should run.
