vti recording help

when i set a recording duration say 10 mins it just puts it in the timer section how do i set it away

Not sure i understand what you mean is this a timer recording or a instant recording where you set 10mins.

If so what problem is it causing just might help me understand what you mean

well i set a duration time just to test it out i set 10 mins then pressed ok but nothing happened i found it in timer and info on right side of screen says waiting .

If it's there under timers and it says waiting i can only assume there is some sort of timing malfunction like the clocks a hour out of sync with the epg.

Reboot and try it again.
