VLC and CrossEPG

Have been looking at various threads and am trying to locate the best image, which includes VLC Player (to stream from PC to DM) and CrossEPG plug-ins, for a genuine DM800 and a clone DM800 (sim2.01 #75).

Are there any out there and if so could someone point me in the right direction?

Assistance much appreciated.

EDG & Dream Elite both have Cross EPG built in and ive seen VLC in the plugins menu.

You have no need to worry if VLC didnt work as there is a fix for it on the TSPanel.

Ferret, thanks for the info. Have had a look but not sure I am finding the relevant images.

Also not quite sure what you mean by "TSPanel"?

in clone image section you will find new patched images and most of them have ts panel

TS Panel is a plugin it has 1000s of use full plugin and tool

Thanks for the pointer, have had a troll through and decided to give dreamelitess84.nfi a go and see how I get on.

As for my genuine box, would this image do the job?

Dream-Elite-2.1-dm800.zip

Come to think of it would this image also work on the clone given that it is referred to as "All HD Models"?

The DE 2.1 image is great on the old 8000 mate just make sure you dont get your clone images mixed up with you real images blah blah :thum:

Right got the image loaded on my genuine box, but for the life of me can't see where to download CCcam.

Have palyed around with blue button, green button etc no nada....

Do I need to find thye CCcam file as a stand alone and then ftp it?

Looks like a long haul then cause tried the adding extra.url to the ect folder and....nothing.

Will have a look at manual install...

Transfer the file exactly as you download it to the tmp folder at the root of the image.

Then press the blue button twice and manual install

Mate tried that and then blue button twice gives me nothing. I then tried the link with thentobz2 file and all I get in /var/ect is cccam.channelinfo and ccam.providers.

I don't get cccam.cfg to edit with a cline.

What in the world am I doing wrong?

No idea where your going wrong mate

Its blue blue then manual install

Then blue button once to start the cam

Have a look to see if you have the emu started with one press of the blue button.

Also look in /etc for the CCcam.cfg

Some emus don't include it so just send one over a backup maybe by FTP to the etc folder.

Nope this image (DE 2.1) is just not working for me. Have tried all that you have suggested (including ftping across a CCcam.cfg file to /var/etc and still no joy.

Also, the box crashes every now and then particularly when I try to shut it down to do a reboot.

Gonna have to give up with this image (pity cause it looks great) and find something else.

Are there any images out there for a genuine box that supports CrossEPG and VLC player?
