I live on the Costa del Sol during the winter and have been using a patched Icecrypt receiver to receive the BBC satback services on Intelsat 907, but the receiver has started to play up (freezing scenes, jumps, etc). The signal is good, so I suspect the receiver.
Instead of just buying another Icecrypt I decided to buy a Technomate 5402 HD M3 CI receiver and try that out.
The receiver arrived yesterday, and as I have no antenna here in the UK to try it out I am trying to set it up as much as I can before I travel out to Spain this coming weekend. I have already loaded the latest Phantompatch-TM5402M3 139p-12-10-2015.stb.
Is there anything else I could do in the way of setting up (without an antenna attached)before I head out? I have set the satellite and transponder (under Satellite Setup), but is there anything else?
When I connect it to the antenna in Spain I am assuming that I do a blind scan for channels, then once found enter the BISS code on both an SD channel and an HD channel. Is that the way?
