yes, some microbox1 or microbox2 have low rs-232 data voltage.
I have exactly the same problem. For microbox1 helps the using of USB converter. For microbox2 "prolific USB converter" does not work - because in loader absent USB option.
For microbox2 the only solution is the usage of another computer. I myself update microbox1 at home and if I use it as microbox2 - I convert it at work.

thankx i tryed by another computer succesfull upgrade
