Something that may be useful to others

Connect both of your computer and Dreambox decoder to a switch/bridge using Ethernet cable.
2: From the remote control, go to Menu -> Setup -> Expert Setup -> Communication Setup. Read the IP address of your decoder from the TV screen (assuming that you already have the composite video output cable connected from decoder to TV).
3: Then go to TV computer screen, open an Internet Explorer, type in ftp://192.168.0.x (IP address read from step ii).
4. Click Page, and then click Open FTP site in Windows Explorer. If you use a different web browser, follow the instructions that came with your browser.
5: When prompted for username and password, type ‘root’ and ‘dreambox’ respectively to access into Dreambox.
6: From here, you will notice a folder view and browse into ‘var’ and followed by ‘etc’ subfolder, look for CCcam.cfg file.
7: Replace it with the CCcam.cfg file gotten from your service provider, reboot the system and you are done.

OR:
Use an FTP program such as Filezilla or DCC connect to your Dreambox IP address (you may need to set the username to "root" and password to "dreambox") and navigate to the /var/etc directory.
In here you will find a file called CCcam.cfg. You must now edit this file
In CCcam.cfg you must add the C: line that you were given in the email we sent to your PayPal registered email address
Save the changes to CCcam.cfg and overwrite the CCcam.cfg (or re-upload the modified CCcam.conf file) on the Dreambox with the FTP program.

This is it, you shouldn't need to reboot your box, give it 10-20 seconds and your channels should be working
