Unknown Sim?????

Picked up a DM800HD with the "No CA Found" error.

Used NCF-Sim2-v3.0 on it to get it into flash mode. All went well.

Flashed the box with a clone sim2.01 image (which I know works just fine as I use it on another clone).

Powered of box and powered it back up and its back to the "No CA Found" error.

This time however, neither NCF or Dreamup connects to the box.

Took Sim out to give it a clean just in case and I don't recognise it.

It has nothing printed on it on the chip side and on the other side it has the following printed on it:

WT00
1459

Also looking at the board, it has a fan on the CPU but there is nowhere to plug it in (if that's relevant).

Wondered if anyone can shed some light on what Sim this could be.

As I wrote - you have a SIM 1.0 card.
There is a image for upgrade to ferrari.
SSL 72 is max for this SIM.

Change the SIM to 2.01 (remove this one, and put in SIM 2.01) freely, put the SSL for SIM 2.01 and image - no problem.

Thanks all. Will try flashing with SSL72 image and if that doesn't work will try swapping the Sim from my other box to see if it works before I invest in a new Sim.

OK, managed to download one of the images.

Can anyone point me to a BL72 download, have had a look around and can't seem to find one.

@ Ferret, that's the link from which I managed to download the image (in fact its the only one I could download as all the other links seem to be dead).

In fact its the one you posted (post 13) so assume by your post that the bootloader is within the image?

yes the bootloader is within the image you need to highlite the both files and right click and choose extract and it then will become one file after extraction

Found some different images but am still getting the same problem.

Can any one point to a bootloader 72 or lower so I can try and flash that to the box to see if I can get the box to communicate?

Ho hum, didn't work.........still get the message "file to big".

Think I may have buggered the Sim altogether

Will try replacing the sim with a 2.01 one and see if it works.

I assume there is no way of getting hold of another sim 1 given how old they are?
