OK, I admit defeat. I can not find a working link for download and installation instructions for uboot 1.3.1. Maybe I've just not looked hard enough :(

I also don't know why I need it - what does it do for me? I've had no problem flashing various images so why do all of the images recommend using uboot for all 'functions' - whatever they may be.

If someone could enlighten me I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Chris.

If you want to install updates from a usb memory stick, uboot 1.3.1 should be installed. There may be some other functions currently or in the future which need uboot 1.3.1.

Installation steps are the same as you flash any image with Flash Tools.

Thank you. Clearly I AM stupid not being able to find that post.... I'll stick it on but I'd much rather understand why I'm doing it. I found the source for it now so I'll read away...

Thanks again.
Chris.

See, what I didn't get is that I could always update from USB stick, ever since I took delivery of the box, there were even instructions included! Maybe they already put uboot on there...

Menu > Information > System Information:

Boot Version May 19 2008 - 14:21:29

If your boot version is same as above, that means you already have uboot 1.3.1 installed.
