TVP set for HD launch

The Polish public broadcaster TVP will start HD transmissions on its two flagship channels TVP1 and TVP2 on June 1.
The former will be found on the country’s first multiplex MUX-1 and latter on the second MUX-2.
The transmissions will start with the 49th National Festival of Polish Music in the city of Opole and then go on to include coverage of Euro 2012 and the Olympic Games in London.
As of June 1, MUX-1 will be able to reach 90% of TV viewers in Poland.
