Tuner A empty dm 800 HD

Hi,

My dreambox 800 hd clone has tuner A empty - nothing.
I have changed the tuner but no solution.
No change with another image.
The motherboard ?

Possibly do i take it you have a clone ?

If so you should try other images because the tuner not been recognized can be a driver issue.

I've extremebox 800 HD with sim 2.01 and I've installed the img OpenPLI 2.1 beta ssl84b patched gjgstroom.. all work fine but in the config I've no Tuner A ( Empty ).

I wonder but there is no way to change the drivers in a way that shows the tuner?

I already have overwritten the drivers manually with those for clones but I had no results ( obviously also bcm7401.ko ).
You know what drivers should I install to solve the problem?

The BCM file is the only one responsible for a missing tuner.

Maybe the image is not patched correctly or it needs a BCM file of a different date.

Just try a later or earlier version from gstroom his patched images are usually spot on

ok, for now I downloaded from the tread "Latest DM800 OpenPLi

2.1 beta patched gjstroom", another version of the file BCM.

If it does not work with this ... I'll try to install the images

above, because the one I have now is the last with date

04/10/2012.

Hope for the best, because the img OpenPLI is beautiful and very

stable and fast for the old clones 800HD

I tried to update it with the many img patched with SS#84b and in any case no detect the Tuner A.

For example:

OpenPLi 2.1 beta SS84b patched gjstroom (I also tried to replace the driver with those for clones but nothing Tuner)

OpenPLi 2.1 beta SS84b patched aguda ( nothing Tuner )

ItalySat 3.0 SS84b (drivers replaced as above but no Tuner detected)

Dream-Elite-dm800-3-0-v010r6-ramiMAHER ( hangs at boot time and does not go forward )

Nemesis2-6-dm800-SVN-110r0-ramiMAHER (start, everything work including network ... but no Tuner detected )

Do you think I have a chance to make him shoot a recent img or should I just use only the old Dream Elite??

I remember the old img: Dream elite 1.3.3 with SS#76D

I tested in this moment with img

sim201e-75-Dream-Elite Black Hole_13-OE1.6-DM800-20100419.nfi

and then in the same session but in other page of IE I've flash with SSL76D-20101219.nfi

Guys I'm not the first fool of sat. Are now about 20 years of sat for me.

I don't compile images,,,, but something I can understand.

Believe me,,, when I posted a problem on a forum is difficult to solve ... often impossible.

But I tried a couple of those img and Tuner no work...look at:

One might come to the conclusion that your particular brand of 800 clone's tuner is not supported after SSL76, for whatever reason.

Another thing you may try... I think it was the summer before last that Sim2 released a patched tuner driver w/ SSL82, but I think it also works w/ SSL84. Try downloading it, unzipping, & overwrite the existing /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.4-dm800/extra/bcm7401.ko & reboot... //www.divshare.com/download/17421569-b21

I can say you only 2 thing or you have to check tunner driver for sim2 or power adapter is broken and you have to change few condesator inside in both cases tuner problem.

Id would have said the tuner was faulty but you told us the tuner works fine with that one image

I think it's faulty I'm not sure ... because with the old image above and the SS 75 or 76D it is detected, while all recent images patched with SS 84/b does not detect the tuner.
