Triple blow for nc+
April 3, 2013 07.45 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Facebook protest group Anty NC+ has snubbed an offer to meet with Julien Verley, the president of the new Polish DTH platform nc+.

At the same time, the Polish competition authority UOKiK has instituted proceedings against ITI Neovision, one of the founders of nc+, and there are also unconfirmed reports that another senior executive has left the new platform.

In an open letter to Julien Verley, the founder of Anty NC+ says that he cannot meet Julien Verley as he is not the official representative of the 50,000+ people that have so far signed up to the Facebook page.

He also says that there is no indication of any actions by nc+ to placate dissatisfied customers and proposes a number of things that the platform should do.

These include lengthening the migration time to nc+; creating a more flexible offer; keeping the number of unguaranteed channels to a minimum; and showing its clients more respect.

The UOKiK meanwhile says it is concerned with the unilateral manner in which ITI Neovision is to move n subscribers onto an 18-month binding contract with nc+ if they do not resign from their present contract by April 19.

It has also been reported that Kamila Barabasz, the HR at nc+, has resigned from her post.

She was with Canal + Cyfrowy since 2000 and her departure, if confirmed, would shortly follow that of Beata Monka, who was on the executive management team and responsible for business affairs, communication and rebranding.

She left the board of nc+ by mutual consent and with immediate effect at the end of last week.
