hello m8s i,m trying to login technomate 600 using dcc but it says incorrect log in and its not blank cause i tried to change using tcc and unsecsessful the box was originaly bought from trader so he must have put his own password, so is there any other way to retrieve the user name and password please help.

Only possible way to change a password you dont know is by tuxcom.

Check your images groups server and install it then

1) Install TuxCom plugin
2) Run it from Yellow button
3) Point to /var/etc/passwd
change the line containing root into root::0:0::/:/bin/sh
now you can telnet your technomate with an empty root password and create a new password for root

I have a similar problem when I tried to FTP the Box. I am using the TM600 and running UR(sr) Img. does anyone knows the username and the password to login?

i think that if you did not change anything the user should be "root" and password should be blank=only enter

Yes the UR team is has no password it black.

This in itself causes some problems as some program need to image to have a pass to work DCC as a example. So if your have problems connecting via FTP then in TCC give the image a password.

Hi Ferret,
I tried that but no luck. It still comes up with the error message check your IP address and password.

Also,now when I try to download new firmware by pressing the blue panel button, this message appears " Can't resolve host name! URL: http://......./version/tm600sr.xml.

do you have any understanding of this?
Any help would be very appreciated

To be honest, I had the same problem and by a suggestion of Ferret, I installed UR image, and when you start the new image ask you what password you want to give to the box, ciao.

I am sure if the guy that installed the URsr image on my box changed the password! I even tried to re-install a previous Img but it still asking me to check the IP address and the password. I know for sure the IP is correct but the PW??
what is the difference between UR and URsr img? because I am using the URsr img and where get them from? Also, I looked for the TUXcom but no where to find it. Plz help

If you can not find tuxbox from the ur teams addons server then you have a problem because you can not ftp it to you box as you need the password.

Just update the image with the guide i linked to above and use this image.

Strangely, the problem was resolved automatically without me doing anything. It now shows the server and firmwares installed on the system.
