Which one should I get for a friend. He's a newbie to sharing so I will set it up for him. I know both can do CCCAM. What do you recommend overall?

No not correct TM5402 HD is not a linux box so it cannott do sharing its only a client box only and cannott do CCcam .
Only Dreambox can do this since it is infact a linux box ,
So im afraid you may need to do some research on these boxes
for what they actually can do ,
I wouldnt really honestly reccomend either box to be honest and i have both of them myself ,lol's !
the easy option is TM5402HD just for viewing and easy set up via USB ..the DM800HD will require much more knowledge of linux boxes to set up properly but possibilities are not restricted whatsoever .
my reccomendation would be DM800SE HD by far and away the best sat box ive ever had and yes rather expensive but if you want the best out there in my opinion that is it ,
or VU+ box which is cheaper but still a highly rated box which is still very much popular .
hopefully this information helps to make the right choice ,

Thx for reply. I thought it supported CCCAM (as client) because of this video : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51G1Ac8l1Mw"]tm 5402hd - YouTube[/ame]
And my budget is £135 so vu is out of the picture.:D

Sorry I should of been clear, he only wants to be a client..

Well okay and i confirm 100% TM5402HD will work as client box perfectly fine , it has a very decent Tuner and it is excellent value for money for what you want it to do so what more can i say just only thing that bugs me about it is there really is no great uptodate Channel settings available if he wants to use it for a motorized system but its pretty easy to make a channel list up manually and real easy to use with Biss menu and easy to update like i said with USB Pen .
