TBS 6925 PCIe H264 PROBLEM

Hey fellas,

I own a TBS6925 PCIe dvb card running on a monster config ( i7 3.4ghz, 32gb kingston ram, Asus Nvidia GTX680 4gb etc..)

DVB Dream and DVB Viewer are both installed.

I installed and tried all the known codecs:
FFDShow, Elecard, DivxH264, LAV, Mainconcept, CoreAVC etc.. and also different custom renderers.

What ever I use, the result is the following on HD H264 channels.


It gets even worse when the broadcast is encrypted- 4:2:2 HD, I enter the BISS key and the program crashes :mad:




Surely there is a codec problem , because it was all good when the windows installation was fresh.




What could you suggest? How to wipe out all the problematic codecs etc?

PS: OS is Windows 7 64 Bit

First of all you have far too many Codec packs installed at any one time and it looks like they are conflicting with one another.

You really should just stick to one single codec pack and set this correctly rather than installing 4-5 packs

In Windows 7 use default codec works perfectly here. I have the same card as you

Hallo all,

Planning to buy TBS 6925 and I wonder stability of this card. im using win 7 64 bit. I have a PC Intel I7 3770K, 16 GB DDR3, 120 GB SSD, Gigabyte Sniper M3 Power Fortron Raider 550 card I'm going to use to track MPEG4 4:2:2 feed with BISS coding and work many hours without shutting down. Is there a problem with the stability and imaging? Which version is no longer Problems DVB-S2 Claim?

i have both 6922 and 6925.The pc have amd 965t cpu unlock to 6 cores on 4,3 ghz and ati radeon card 1gb ddr3 on 800mhz .
The system built on february of 2012 and both of the cards are still working without problems.
The only bad is that in tbs site you dont have big support.You can use it with all dvb software and for me the most crusial think was the corect use of my diseq motor and the usals becase my old skystar have issues.You can easy go for feedhunting no problems with 4:2:2.

I have same problems with artefacts on TBS 6925. S2 HD programs! Where is problem? Use same LNB with AZbox Premium HD+ and picture on this programs is perfect, without artefacts. Maybe my TBS card is broken?

I've had problems with my 6985 on same spec PC as you. When watching/recording 3 or 4 streams discontinuities occur. Also if use a quad lnb and turn on a standalone receiver connected to a different lnb output discontinuities happen on the 6985 streams. Also, to get EBS pro working you need to tune input 1 into the sat you wanna scan and then select input 4 in ebs pro.
I've just worked around these problems for ages.
I would still rate the TBS cards as the tuners are very sensitive

I don't think it's your LNB. What I meant to say was I think TBS cards have their faults but a great tuner and blind scanning make up for them.

Is this your first DVB card? If so, tried installing LAV Codecs? They should work fine with your setup. If not, hard to say what could be happening - is it with all programs (say DVB Dream and DVBViewer)?

And with CrazyScan i am create TS file on problem programs, and running on second PC via VLC, with same artefacts!

My first TBS 6925 have problem with Usals, i must send this card on RMA. Second card is OK 3 months!

Second card have problem with artefacts, probable RMA...!

Newer more TBS, low quality China product.... :(

It's packet loss on HD channels. They sent me a 6983 instead which is working perfectly. So if you have problems Whit HD then Rma regards wikings1

Well normally if I get a few discontinuities like with a weak signal and it's 4:2:2 and BISS it will crash. When the signal is strong it's fine. It Crashes with both lav and ffdshow.

I was getting cutting from video solved by turning sound of using vlc my laptop was struggling with video and sound so I just use my techno mate for audio and Tbs for picture no more cutting in picture

Hi all,

My third TBS 6925 after two RMA now without artefacts with DVBDream, DVBViewer, SmartDVB, Only AltDVB 2.2 have artefacts, but this is maybe software problem for old program.. Finaly reults for artefact with TBS cards = hardware problem cards = RMA!

Hello, in 10 months 2 tbs6925 to RMA....now support seend mail and say...
our support suggest that we send you a TBS6983， it's a substitute of TBS 6925

only have problem with dvb-s2 channels...sd channels work ok
