T-Home retains top spot

Magyar Telekom’s T-Home remains the undisputed market leader in the fixed broadband internet sector in Hungary.
According to data published by the regulator NMHH, it claimed a 34.7% market share in October, with UPC (21.8%) and Digi (13.6%) its closest rivals.
They were followed by Invitel (9.7%), Tarr (2.6%) and PR-Telekom (2.2%).
The total number of cable broadband subscriptions in Hungary stood at 868,771, of which 229,072 were via DOCSIS 3.0, compared to 775,168 xDSL and 311,760 FTTx subscriptions.
