Hi there.

Im using PGI 0,9.
I would like to know how to stream movies from my PC to my Cuberevo?
Do I need a plugin or is it just a setting I have to do on my box?
I have a Netgear router.

Thanks before hand.

Hi maerd!

i using PKT e2 and i use cifs sheare to stream.
mine folder is /mnt/cifs and in /var/config you have
cifs.conf file you have to edit.

ex:
cifs_login=guest
cifs_pass=guest
cifs_address=192.168.1.2
cifs_directory=youre PC folder name
cifs_local_directory=cifs

make a folder in youre PC.
check in the colured buttoms where you have the mount point
and mount cifs and reboot cuberevo.
ore do this
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.2/movies /mnt/cifs/ -o username=Guest

good luck

I found another forum and I guy there gave me this guide

If you just want to play movies you have on your PC, you need to share the directory where they are, create the link on your cuberevo (PC Connection) and you can then view them via the videoplayer (Mediafiles, videos green button) just press the button till the network link comes up.

Unfortunately it does not play every format of compressed file.

I have not seen a comprehensive guide to the formats required.
Most .avi play, some even with fast forward
.mpg also mostly play
.mkv don't as far as I know, neither do .mov

hope this helps

But I cant fast forward using his guide, if I use your guide does it work to fast forward and other stuff like that?
