Hi guys..

I spent hours today editing all the bouquets with DreamboxEdit..

I know they were all gone when i sent the files back to the VU+ as i checked that the ones i did not want were not there..

I went out for dinner.. and came back 3 hours later.. and all the channels that i had deleted are now back in my channel list again.. (baskets)..lol

Any help would be greatly appreicated..

Thanks

Are you referring to the satellites listings mate or bouquets? If you remove anything from bouquets then the channels are gone for good.

To my knowledge there is no auto scanning on E2 so i fail to see how they reappear. I could be wrong maybe there is auto scanning.

So you will have a backup of your edited settings on your PC then?

When you edit a listing first retrieve it for your VU then save it to a folder on your PC and edit that version don't edit directly as you retrieved it for the VU.

Hi Ferret.. Yes.. i am refering to the channel list.. all the ones i did not want were gone.. and now they are back again..

This is very annoying after spending hours deleting all the channels that are of no use to me.. and now they are back again.. Going by my Vu.. the channels are not gone for good.. A really annoying problem..

I have no great desire to send the edited files back to the Vu every day.. just to keep the channels i dont want away..

Any other suggestions.. ???

Thanks

But your works not lost mate if you saved a copy!

Send over your listings again and then kill the power on the rear of VU and start it again

See if that works

This is usual with Enigma 1 and 2. However, With Enigma 1, the solution is easier , but for E2, I don't see a solution, and even parental control is not that secure.
