StarHub adds anime channel ANIPLUS HD

Singapore pay-TV platform StarHub is adding the 24-hour Japanese anime channel ANIPLUS HD to its bouquet on 31 July.
A free preview of the channel will run until 1 September, to showcase the Japanese anime adaptations of best selling manga and original new anime productions which will be shown within two weeks of their premiere on Japanese TV.
"We are always looking to expand our range of channels to give customers the widest selection to choose from. ANIPLUS HD broadens this selection with its growing catalogue of new and exciting titles direct from Japan in high definition. Besides giving customers the choice to catch the channel on their mobile devices with StarHub TV Anywhere, we will be rolling out an on-demand channel in the coming months so they can truly control how they watch their favourite anime programmes," said Lee Soo Hui, head of media business unit, StarHub.
Forthcoming series include Terror in Resonance, Glasslip and a Knights of Sidonia marathon, plus Attack on Titan, Psycho-Pass and The Idolmaster.
The package, which will later also include an on-demand version of the channel, will be available as an add-on for $6.42 per month.
