Standby problem

I am trying to put a new channel list. Using the HNF software, I'm clicking PC to Receiver (No config) as I had done many times before. It s obviously waiting for the humax connection but somehow the standby mode is skipping and switch to a channel directly and therefore its not letting me to transfer the list. I have tried to re install latest firmware by switching off/on the back switch, but again, it skipped the standby mode and switched directly onto the channel I was watching.

I am confused. ANy help? Is it a hardware problem???

As part of the boot-up procedure your Humax will check to see if any update communication is being received. If no communication is detected, it will continue with its normal start-up.

From your description, it would appear that no update communication is being detected.

Possible reasons are:

1. Your Null Modem cable is not inserted correctly.
2. Cable connection pins are bent or damaged.
3. You are using an incorrect Com Port.
4. In the Configue / Options menu check that the receiver model is set correctly. Humax 5400/5400z set to IRCI-5400 (System ID 00160000)
5. You are using a USB to Null Modem converter that is not configured correctly (check the default Com Port in Device Manager - must be Com 4 or lower).
6. You are using a laptop computer that will not communicate correctly ( try a Desktop PC).
7. Humax Software is corrupted (unlikely).
8. The HNF Software is corrupted.
9. The cable that you are using is not allowing two way communication.
10. The Port on your computer has been disabled.
