hi guys what software do i need to get this to work

i realise that i need a rs232 to usb to plug into my laptop but could i get a rs232 to cat5 and plug it directly to my router

bin there done that and still non the wiser i cant seem to get the menu up apparently you need to press 8281 or something on those lines its very strange how hard it is to find information you would think there would be a tutorial

I think 8281 is for 6000 series.

when i connect the rs232 to the laptop and open fausto it will not connect is there any way to chack all connections

thought i would let everyone no that the problem was because my laptop was running windows 7 i've since installed vista and can connect easy thanks guys
