Hi i have just purchased a dm800se clone box i have set it up with dream elite but not sure if this is the best image for me so any advice on that would be great.

i am looking to connect it up to a new dish i have just bought 1m motorized but it is currently connected to an old dish just for setup i have scanned using the old dish and got 400 channels some encrypted so i am looking to decrypt these so i can come to terms with how to do this and what software to use .

i used to use a dm500c and had to install keys to decrypt the channels so think this is what i have to do here but have no idea where to find these or how and what software to use to install them.

hopefully i can do this with your help then install my new dish and then i will be looking to find 3pm epl games movies discovery channels history sports packages so any advice on what sats to look at and if i will need different keys for different sats??

i hope i am not asking to much of you kind people hopefully i can pass this newly gained knowledge on in the future

I am also sort of a noob when it comes to Dreambox but I've learned quite a lot these few past days.

The best image is OpenPLi I've heared.

For all the 'packages' you need to download 'settings' from this forum (search for it) and upload it to your dreambox with DreamboxEdit.

For decryption you need to use a softcam. CCcam is a softcam you can install. Then you need to have a cline (the keys as you say it. it's a url to a server that gives you the keys). That cline you need to put in CCcam.cfg that is in /etc directory in the dreambox.

After that you can watch all the channels.

hi thanks for your reply where would i find the clines and what software would i use to install them ??

also the image i am using is dream elite but not sure if this is the best for what i need you have any advice with you having a working system?

You don't find clines mate best bet there is to use google we are not a card sharing forum.

oh ok i will take a look on google for that would you have a link to find a working image openpli for dm800se clone but with a8p chip

the image you are using is fine I use the same one, you just need to add the extra url so you can download the cams from the remote,

download unzip and ftp to the etc folder then reboot, after press blue button twice you will see download extra,you can now download CCcam from there

thanks can i still use this if i use a different image or does it have to be the same one ?

its only for that dreamelite image, you could also install TSPanel that's got plenty of downloads inside it very handy and TSMedia for watching films and IPTV

i have now just installed the image given to me in the link above think i now need the stuff we cant talk about iam getting there i think but i think its one of those so near yet so far haha not tosure were i get the last things i need and what ones iam even looking for ha the old dm500c was much simpler ha
