A company is looking to employ someone who is capable of sleeping on the job -- for £600 a week.

Halfords are planning to recruit a 'sleeping bag tester' to snooze in a variety of products and report back about how good they are.

A job advert placed in a West Midlands newspaper states that would-be testers much be willing to sleep under canvas and normally be a good sleeper.

The successful applicant will get £10 per hour with a minimum of £600 for a 5-day sleep-in and bosses say it would suit someone interested in the factors that contribute to a good nights sleep.

We are tempted to apply, if only so we get the chance to phone the boss at 9.15 and tell him we overslept.. for him to say well done.
The full text of the job advert reads:

WE NEED a good sleeper. Sleeping Bag Tester required to assess the Halfords range of sleeping bags. Salary: £10 per hour, minimum pay £600 for a 5-day sleep in.

Previous experience of product testing would be helpful but not essential. The role will require you to sleep outside under canvas, test and provide feedback on a range of sleeping bags.

You should be a good sleeper and able to provide objective feedback on your sleep experience. Would suit someone interested in sleep and the factors that contribute to a good nights sleep.
