SkyStar HD2 tuner

My skystar hd2 card tunes channels only on DVB-S. It tunes and open all HD and SD DVB-S channels. It does not tune any DVB-S2 channel even Standard Definition.

Can anybody confirm that skystar hd2 comes with only DVB-s tuner or facing some other problem.

I installed driver version1.3 from technisat website.All HD&SD DVB-S channels working fine.DVB-S2 channels not tuned.

If you're using Dvbviewer in Settings/Options/Hardware make sure that "Is DVB-S2 device" is checked.

S2 frq is very elegant,you must checked seeting of dish,better use from progdvb serie 6 and HD lnb.:thum:

With the same dish setting and same LNB when tuned with echolink 7000hd, it tunes but not with skystar hd2

Did you tried the echolink with the same cable of skystar?


Try this freeware http://www.progdvb.com/prog_sat_finder.html

If you still dont have signal, try to reinstall the card (remove all drivers).

echolink tried with another cable but I think this is not problem because with same cable it tunned All DVB-S frequencies but not DVB-S2.

I reinstall windows and drivers several times but the result is same DVB-S2 channels not working.

If u reinstall windows, tried with different software (dvbviewer, progdvb or dvbdream) and used the same cable..naybe u need to send the card to RMA.

A lot of people have problems with HD2, my hd2 sends a electric buzzing sound when wacthing dvb-s2 channels, i didint send it to RMA, because it will take over a month to Technisat check the problem

one problem is that signal level 93% quality 98% some times suddenly drops to zero. and then restore again.

Do you think replacing of current LNB with HD LNB can improve signal.

Just to say this, there is no such thing of HD LNB..it´s only false advertising.

I compare both HD LNB and simple LNB. Specifications are same found no difference.

Can anybody tell what symbol rate supported skystar hd2 (DVB-S2).

you are a disceq with your dish

for skystar HD 2 try alternative BDA interface
scartman 108 , ect ( look section dvb or google )

try dvbviewer pro 4.00 ( no bug ); dvbdrem 1.5e ,

for DVBviewer pro try with the soft :transedit

dl .ini in king of sat for your sat you want scan

rescan transpondeurs DVB-S & S2

instal HD pack 2.5 or power dvd 10 for hd codec

if you are a good LNB with 0.2db not buy a new HD LNB
