hi guys has anybody tried the new skybox f5 ? my skybox s10 is knackered so ive orderd one, any info would be helpful,thanks in advance

Nobody has Skybox F5 yet ????
sorry to hi-jack this thread but ..
I Bought a skybox F5 myself and its arriving in next day or so can someone plze point me to any firmware or files i can use for it ??
Also im hoping to hear some feedback on Skybox F5 myself aswell as above user so plze feel free to comment aswell .

The Usual firmware places dont even seem to have anything listed as yet which is pretty unusual

hi guys just got my f5 and boy am i impressed, so far, picture is very good, on screen display brillient,channel hopping is very good.read on another site to upgrade you can use usb or upgrade by internet,the box itself to look at is sleek,my old s10= skoda my new f5=porsche,i was putting it in the bedroom its that nice its going in the living room,need to have a play with new toy let you know more soon

well guys ive had a bit of a play and its fantastic,here,s whats in it; ali3601 hd,oem id 0001,peripheral unit rs232,ca-slot,ethernet and gprs,display mode FULL HD,memory size ddr2-128m,to turn on the cams go in menu and press 6666 same as s10,my eyes lite up 7 CAMS, CCcam client setup,mgcamd plug setup,newcamd setup,avatar cam setup,gs setup,x cam setup,redcam setup and also rs232 function setup, i upgraded my softcam and cw with usb all fine,its defo a better version 9 out of 10 from me well worth the money its brillient,anyone else got anymore info like to know more about the cams and what they can do.

so you say you got your softcam set up is that a constant.cw softcam like with dreambox uses i wonder ??
that was the whole reason i bought the Skybox F5 so i can hopefully use keys constant.cw keys and clear Biss encoded channels ,
is there a BISS Menu to input keys ??
and can constant.cw keys be inserted to box via USB Stick ?
im really loving what im reading on your above posts i have been really worried that i may have bought wrong box but i read your posts its been very refreshing and puts my mind at ease somewhat .
hopefully box will arrive tommorrow im really looking forward to it now i must admit .
i dont see any patch or firmware for this box so i guess there wont be a requirement to upgrade firmare then to use CCcam as client ??
this sounds like it gonna be one hellof a great crimbo for me for a change .

hi barney,i used usb the softcam is the same as in my s10 and the constant.cw same as well,ive not found the BISS menu maybe it NEEDS a patch,you can upgrade through the internet or usb and on the internet the upgrade is done by (ANONYMOUS) THUMBS UP WITH HIM DOING IT or them lol,c-line workin fine ,what can i say but crimbo came early for me enjoy your new f5 and to all at sat-uni merry christmas badboy1965

not suppose to talk about it on here you need a c-line, google is your best bet lots of info.

hi packi the pictures are good but as you know once you,ve watch HD,the SD dont look the same,but for the money and what it can do ,you should be very happy with the box

Should be similar to the F3 which normally takes 10 secs to clear, so glitchy I just use mine as a great HD freesat with fantastic dolby digital sound via my old marantz SR4200 home cinema amp.
10 secs is ultra fast!!!
