Router Dreambox Problem

Hi All

If anyone can advise on the following problem.
I have a dreambox Image Dsteam Have recently upgraded my Broadband connection with Virgin Media with a new Mega Hub with 30 meg broadband.Then the problems started. I can not get the internet connection stable between the routher and the Dreambox.

It will connect for 1 min approx then disconnetct for anytime from 10 second to 2 mins .If I look setup on the dreambox then I have DHCP unchecked , I have a static Ip address, Via a dns server . Have been battling with this for over a week now.
I am thinking of going back to my 10 meg braodband with my old virgin router as I had no problems with that setup.

Any advise

Dont know that Hub but Did you check the hub firewall ?

Do you have your ports open correctly in the hub.

Hi Adder

The hub is Netgear made for Virgin Media all in one router and wirless router. All works well with the computers at home but it keeps droping the connection to Dreambox resulting in constant Freezing.

I think I have, Port 80 is showing on the dreambox. I have tried port forwarding with 21 and 23. It is almost like when the internet connection to the dreambox drops as if there is something else taking the resource away.I did not have a probelm with my old router config only since this hub arrived. I think Virgin have had numerous problems with this hub and xbox live.

It works then does not intermittent but annoying.

you have to save and reboot your router setting also if am not a mistake.
