I'm returning my Black Panther receiver, its crrraaap. I hate the layout/design, nowhere near as good as Technomate. But main reason is using remote, I have to get up, go upclose to receiver to use it! And I can't use it from an angle! Its so annoying.. Can you recommend another receiver that has DVB-S2 between £40-£60? Openbox?saorsat? Is that eagle box any good? I look forward to your replies! thanks

Thanks for the reply,
Seems a bit expensive, it's around £120, for that price I'd probz rather buy TM 5420.. Can I post links here e.g aliexpress?

You can get a VU+ Zero for £99 that specification wise beats the DM800 and 800se hands down, Obviously Image wise the DM's are hard to beat but with the Zero you get Full UK warranty

In terms of using remote, is it ok?? you don't have to point directly towards receiver n go close to it to detect it?? All I really want is a HD receiver with dvb-s2 and can get bulsat 39e..

thanks for reply guys

I have no idea as i do not own one, i have however owned the Vu Solo,Duo,Uno,Ultimo,Solo2 and have never had an infared problem with those receivers.

Have you thought that the receiver you have presently could have a problem with how the infared eye is positioned inside the receiver casing, Also do not rule out any IR interference problems in your room or even a compatibility issue with another IR product such as your TV etc...

Mate, I just inserted better quality batteries in my remote, and it works flawlessly! Never thought anything of it before, as the batteries that came with the receiver were brand new, but they were obviously sh1te.
Just need a softcam for this receiver, can't seem to find it anywhere, hopefully eniz9 replies to my pm. Thanks for your input guys!:thum:
