Restarting problem- box stuck on "Starting"

I reboot my box every night at 4 am. Sometimes the box hangs on "Starting". I can't use the remote, but the box display the channels correct. Very weird. I have to restart the box with the power button on the back. Could it have anything to to with my usb-stick? It's mounted correctly and displays picons...

it may be a corrupt image problem mate .

try re-flashing the image & see how you go .

How did you get on with this? as mine is now stuck on starting and wont boot. Tried to reflash with usb but wont accept any image so trying to connect via serial with no luck

I still have the problem. Every second restart it hungs. I think it might have to do with the Glass system utility plugin. It wants to mount (device manager) my usb stick as media/usb1 and the image itself wants to mount it as media/usb. Without usb stick the problem does'nt occur. But I want my stick for picons....

Not sure I understand this post... Posted in the wrong tread maybe..? Something about flashing image a new image through Putty via serial? It would be easier if you communicate in English.

remove the usb stick and reboot it again and see if it boots ok with the stick removed,i have noticed this problem on the blackhole latest image yesterday whilst resettng my friends up.

I think Brummie hit the nail on the head, remove the usb stick if it boot then pop the usb stick in the other port and reboot, it will then usually boot.

Yes, you are 100% correct. Working find without the stick. But I need my stick. Maybe I shall try a different one.
