Hi all what would anyone suggest to be the all around best and reliable receiver to get also user friendly thanks in advance cheers?

I would recomment a Enigma2 reciever : dreambox , vu , gigablue ect.

But figure your needs first - how many tuners you want ect.

much easier to work with and set up for beginners and is very reliable and well supported box .

No but as Barney said the Technomate TM5402 M3 HD CI Super is a good receiver to start with,
There is a cheaper version that may suit your needs TM-F3/5 HD Satellite Receiver,

There are not many transmissions using 16APSK & even less receivers available in the UK,

is best for these transmissions.
